Hi, I'm Tony Korman owner and artist of Kormanstudio. I've been involved with art my whole life. As a child my main mediums were pencil drawings and modeling clay. Mostly making representations of sports stars, movie actors and religious scenes. After high school I met my wife Cheri and also began working for the United States Postal Service. Since then we have been blessed with two great sons. Our first dog together was "Buddy" a 10 year old Beagle/Jack Russell Mix that we adopted from the local Humane Society. After some time our family took a weekend trip to a Wisconsin Waterpark. While we were away Buddy was being watched by family that he was quite familiar with. While letting him out to do his business he ran off into a rural wooded area into the darkness and when we returned spent some time trying to locate him were not able to find him. A very sad time for us for he had become a very loved member of our family. My first dog sculpture I made was of "Buddy" mounted on an empty urn box to pay tribute to our lost companion. This became the birth of Kormanstudio. For making his urn had brought some closure and a permenant memorial that we display on our fireplace mantle. I wanted to be able to share this with others and through my art have found it to help others who have felt this particular loss. If you are grieving a pet please accept my deepest sympathy.
I look forward to meeting you, Tony
